Holy Crapola!!
I just noticed how neglectful I have been to my blog, but I noticed people have still been checking in to see if I am still alive so allow me to put your fears to rest, I was not abducted by San Francisco nut jobs and put into a forced re-education camp. Instead, I have been doing school work (which isn’t so bad) and I got myself a part time job at an office supply place for extra cash but I am already thinking about finding something else because of some of the stupid policies they have.
First, we are supposed to sell insurance to go with every purchase of an electronics item, we have a QUOTA for it. I’m sorry, I never wanted to work insurance and I sure as hell don’t want to have a quota to meet for selling it. I guess it wouldn’t be so bad if they had told me that up front in the interview but instead I find out about it after I was hired and already working. The thing is that if you aren’t selling enough insurance I was told that “Your hours might have to be adjusted” meaning that if you don’t pimp the policy, we won’t have you working as much.
So I guess I could go with this approach “You know, you may want to have some insurance for that printer. Bad things can happen to a nice printer like that if you don’t have some sort of – protection, ya know what I mean.” and then give them that significant look. Then, if they still resist, they would wake up with an empty red ink print cartridge on the pillow next to them.
Yea, that would work.
So I think I am going to go down to the local coffee shop and put in an application there, I love coffee anyway, and I don’t remember them really trying to pimp a muffin on me or anything, so I think that will work.
“Pssst…. Buddy, wanna buy a muffin? Ya know, bad things can happen if you don’t get enough fiber in your diet.”
