Has anyone every noticed how creepy the lyrics are to the song ‘Cherish’

Cherish is the word I use to describe

Christ on a pogo stick!!

I sometimes find it difficult to believe how stupid, or perhaps spineless, people can be and then along comes an article like this to remind me that for every intelligent person out in the world we have about 15 stupid ones too.

The town of Fort Collins, Colorado, and its Holiday Display Task Force are in the process of making their Christmas decorations more politically correct.

The task force plans to recommend that the city displays only include white lights, winter symbols that aren’t linked with any particular holiday and other non-secular items. Additionally, Christmas trees will no longer be permitted to be put up outside of public buildings or on public property. The city plans on voting on the recommendations on November 20th.

So, in order to not offend anyone we are going to offend the Christians by castrating their holiday. Yea, I can’t see any Christians being offended by being that.

“Winter symbols that aren’t linked with any particular holiday” OK, then why put anything up at all? Oh, wait, it’s Christmas and we want to put decorations up but we just don’t want to say “Christmas”. That’s about as smart as throwing a Superbowl party, putting up sports decorations, and not putting the game on because you don’t want to offend the soccer fans.

Here’s another thing you can chew on for a while. There isn’t one part of the Constitution that says you have the right to be free from being offended. It says you can pursue happiness – never says you are guaranteed to get it. It says you have the right to bear arms – not that you HAVE to bear arms. But it says nothing at all about being “Free from offense or having your little feelings hurt”.

Whether you like it or not, Christians are the largest religion in this country and Christmas is not a secular holiday, it is a Christian holiday – deal with it. If someone is offended by it – tough shit. I’m offended by assholes that are offended by everything and want the world changed so that they can be free from offense.I knew
