Religion of Peace. Really?

February 11th, 2009 Posted in Religion of...

I keep hearing that not all Muslims agree with the extremist views of some parts of their religion, but I never hear these moderates speak out against the extremists.  I never hear them publicly condemn those who do suicide bombings, who talk about Jihad and destroying the ‘Zionist invaders’, I never hear these moderates say anything at all.

Maybe it’s because they really don’t exist.I found this over at Bob Parks’ site

Undercover Mosque is a documentary programme produced by the independent television company Hardcash Productions for the Channel 4 series Dispatches which first aired on 15 January 2007 in the UK. The film caused a furor in Britain and the world press due to the content of the released footage. The documentary presents film footage gathered from 12 months of secret investigation into mosques throughout Britain. West Midlands Police investigated whether criminal offences had been committed by those teaching or preaching at the Mosques and other establishments and found that there had been insufficient evidence to bring charges against anyone featured in the documentary.

And, they went back a second time as well:

A year-and-a-half after the critically acclaimed film Undercover Mosque was first screened, Dispatches goes undercover again to see whether extremist beliefs continue to be promoted in certain key British Muslim institutions. The film also investigates the role of the Saudi Arabian religious establishment in spreading a hard-line, fundamentalist Islamic ideology in the UK – the very ideology the Government claims to be tackling.

A female reporter attends prayer meetings at an important British mosque which claims to be dedicated to moderation and dialogue with other faiths. She secretly films shocking sermons given to the women-only congregation in which female preachers recite extremist and intolerant beliefs.
