A World Class Screwing

March 1st, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Libtards, WTF

It wasn’t enough that our government has screwed all of us over with Porkzilla, now Obama is apparently going to be talking with Gordon Brown about a ‘Global Bailout’.

Many US politicians believe economic policy should put America first, and have shown little interest in concerted global action. Brown will argue for a renewal of the transatlantic relationship, with the two powers working together to solve global economic problems.

The prime minister will borrow from the rhetoric of Franklin Roosevelt, who introduced the government-financed New Deal to tackle the US Depression of the 1930s. He will argue that his 21st century “global new deal” will also require public spending on a huge world-wide scale.

Wait just one minute? Since when did the world’s problems become my problems?Yes, our economic problems should be taken care of first, we are the ones that are earning the money so WE should be the ones who get to keep it -and i mean the individual, not Congress.

I never made any of these countries get into the debt that they dove into, apparently with both feet. and anyway, how many times does it have to be pointed out that the New Deal NEVER WORKED!

New Deal taxes were major job destroyers during the 1930s, prolonging unemployment that averaged 17%. Higher business taxes meant that employers had less money for growth and jobs. Social Security excise taxes on payrolls made it more expensive for employers to hire people, which discouraged hiring.

Other New Deal programs destroyed jobs, too. For example, the National Industrial Recovery Act (1933) cut back production and forced wages above market levels, making it more expensive for employers to hire people – blacks alone were estimated to have lost some 500,000 jobs because of the National Industrial Recovery Act. The Agricultural Adjustment Act (1933) cut back farm production and devastated black tenant farmers who needed work. The National Labor Relations Act (1935) gave unions monopoly bargaining power in workplaces and led to violent strikes and compulsory unionization of mass production industries. Unions secured above-market wages, triggering big layoffs and helping to usher in the depression of 1938.

That’s right, the New Deal that the left goes ga-ga over actually extended the recession that we had. Raising taxes DOESN’T help pull us out of a recession and in fact did more harm than good. So what is the Democrats answer when another recession comes around? New Deal 2.0 – Twice the bloat and less than half the results of your normal ‘stimulus’ bill.

If anyone doubts that raising taxes destroys jobs, then I suggest that you have a look at California. The sales tax out here is 8.25% and with supplementary taxes that goes up to 9.25% in some areas. Higher taxes haven’t helped it stop the loss of jobs in the state – jobs lost because companies had to pay taxes instead of salaries; in fact the budget situation has gotten worse not better.
In fact, it is so bad that California isn’t going to be sending out tax refunds on time. They haven’t said when they will send them out, but according to them it’s OK because they are spending my money to help ‘the people’ – just like congress wants to do. Help everyone else with my money.

Congress meanwhile, has gone deaf dumb and blind to reality and it has been caused by the cheering and back patting they have been doing to themselves. Oh we liberals are in charge now, damn the facts full speed ahead. They didn’t hear the thousands of phone calls protesting Porkzilla, they ignored the emails protesting the initial bailout, and I am sure that they will ignore the shit storm that will be created when they decide to enslave us to the UN and bail out the world while at the same time voting for a $3.55 TRILLION DOLLAR BUDGET that teh One wants.

“These steps won’t sit well with the special interests and lobbyists who are invested in the old way of doing business,” the president said in his weekly radio address.

“I know they’re gearing up for a fight as we speak,” he said. “My message to them is this: So am I.”

Do you mean special interests like ACORN? Or are you talking about the special interests that Rahm Emanuel is involved in like Freddie Mac, the Hedge Fund Industry, and Wall Street??

Or are you instead referring to your new ‘Urban Czar” who has made quite a killing on kickbacks?

I could go on and on with pointing out that the emperor not only has no clothes, but also no morals but I think anyone who hasn’t been guzzling the Kool-aid already knows this.

So, welcome to the new Rome. Nero is fiddling and Congress is accompanying him as the orchestra. We can all pray that come the next elections in two years we can take back the House and Senate and just pray that the children don’t do too much damage while the adults are away.

Bruce Almighty

My friend was helping me modify Bruce and put on the new Houge front grip and the sidesaddle.  As we were working he said “So what are you going to call this one?”

“Bruce,” I said and explained why.

As we finished and he admired the work he said “Yep, it’s Bruce allright… Bruce Allmighty.  Someone crosses that thing and they’ll be meeting God up close and personal.”

So, here is Bruce with the new additions.  Final item on the list is a new Hogue stock for it to take it down to 12″ rather than 13″.  I find the 12″ one fits the wife better so it will stay on until she gets her 20 gauge or until I decided to put one of these on it.
