Another “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie… WTF???

Depp will reprise his role as Capt. Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” slated for summer of 2011. It’s the fourth in a series.

Dressed as Sparrow, Depp staggered around the stage and embraced Walt Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook, who announced the news to about 5,000 fans on hand for the D23 Expo, Disney’s answer to Comic-Con.

Yeah, just what the world needs, another crappy movie, because ‘At World’s End” wasn’t bad enough for them

I know I’ve said this before, but is there NO originality left in Hollyweird?  Are they so afraid of taking a chance on something new that instead all we get is retread after retread.  And then, when they DO try something new they either take the original story and screw it up so bad you can’t recognize it from the book that they took it from, or the do something so left wing artsy that the only people that go to see it are the Hollyweird people themselves.

And to add insult to injury, Depp will be in a Lone Ranger movie…. as Tonto.

In his presentation of upcoming Disney films, Cook also announced that Depp would play Tonto in an upcoming big-screen adaptation of “The Lone Ranger.”

Yea, cause I bet there was NO WAY you could find a Native American who could act, right?  I remember laughing over the fact that Hollywood had Chuck Connors play Geronimo, the bluest eyed Geronimo you will ever see, and how Hollywood is all about rights and equality but they are so concerned with equal rights that they once again can’t find an Native American to play a Native American.

Why is that somehow OK to do this but it’s not OK when Robert Downey Jr put on blackface to play a character in “Tropic Thunder”? It must be a ‘black thing’ or something that I’m just not smart enough to understand.  In any event, a big “thank you” to Disney for proving that, even without Eisner, they are still going to shovel crap to us and call it a feast.

Rememberance

As I write this I remember where I was when our world changed eight years ago. Like my friend Jennifer I’m still angry.  I’m angry enough that I want a government that shares my anger rather than boot licking the bastards that cheered while our citizens died.

I find it strange though.  Only eight years have passed since that horrible day and out here in San Francisco people are like “Oh, yeah, that’s right 9/11…”

How can you forget something like this?  How is it that on THIS DAY of all days you don’t remember what happened in a history you were part of?  Did the attacks mean nothing to the people out here?  Did they sit around thinking to themselves “Well, we’re peaceful, man, and like they should know that”

No, I don’t understand how this day can come around and the people I see aren’t filled with rage remembering what happened.  They shrug and move on with what they were doing.

I spent seven years of my life defending this country and risking my life so that I could come home and watch people react with total disinterest when remembering the most destructive attack on US soil in modern history.  The left coast makes me sick.

Never forget, never forgive, never surrender.

Obama shows his strong resolve this day by painting a living room.  Can we end the joke now and put the adults back in charge? It’s gone on long enough.

Joe Wilson’s the MAN!

While the Democrats and the Liberal left love to run around accusing Bush of lying, the Republicans of lying and basically anyone on the right who draws a breath of being a liar, they will never say it to the enemies face.  Instead they will go onto friendly news programs where the host will fawn over them, get tingles up their legs and essentially do everything except give them a bj on national television.

Joe Wilson though did what every other Conservative in the room was thinking, he called Obama out on the bullshit and said it to his face – OBAMA IS A LIAR!  And thank God for Joe Wilson having the balls to do that.   Of course John McCain immediately afterwords jumped to Obama’s defense and said that Wilson should apologize,  but I expect no less from that RINO.

The best part of it all is the look on San Fran Nan’s face.  Total shock that ANYONE would dare to attack TEH ONE!

I do believe the times they are a changin’.
