All Your Phones are Belong to Us…

May 15th, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Cry FREEDOM!, webstuff, WTF

For those of you who have Android based phones let me remind you that Android was developed and is controlled by Google.  In fact, before you can even really use the features on your phone one of the first things you have to do is create a Gmail account.

Now, if they are willing to screw over Ann Althouse because they don’t like what she is saying, and then go after people who post comments in agreement with her by blocking their accounts too, what makes you think you won’t suddenly start having problems with your phone?

I mean, it’s not like they are concerned about your privacy, and they aren’t above a little spying, but I’m sure the fact that they are pushing the androids into every conceivable market is just fine.  You know, because they do have that whole “Do no harm” mantra they probably chant every morning, and what could be harmful about supporting and helping a repressive regime like China?

Yeah, sticking with my iPhone and wordpress, thanks.

BTW, go read the whole thing at Patterico’s, it’s worth knowing

Supreme Awesomeness!!

From Atomic Nerds on how to deal with the TSA

“And as soon as you fucking little thieving perverts decide whether or not something shiny in my wife’s carry-on is banned all of a sudden or not, I’ll be on my way. Now either get a real cop and charge me with something or go fuck yourself you petty little shit.”

When I grow up, I want to be just like Stingray.

WTF: Legal Edition

The Indiana Supreme Court has decided that your home is not, in fact, your castle and that the 4th Amendment to the Constitution is apparently outdated and old fashioned.

“We believe … a right to resist an unlawful police entry into a home is against public policy and is incompatible with modern Fourth Amendment jurisprudence,” David said. “We also find that allowing resistance unnecessarily escalates the level of violence and therefore the risk of injuries to all parties involved without preventing the arrest.”

David said a person arrested following an unlawful entry by police still can be released on bail and has plenty of opportunities to protest the illegal entry through the court system.

I see, they did this to protect us from an escalation of violence. Right.  How about this thought instead – Officer wants to illegally come into the person’s home, the person says no and THE OFFICER DOESN’T ENTER. PERIOD.  When the officer does enter, and you resist I would then say that the arrest should be deemed illegal and anything gained from the entry be considered ‘Fruit of the Poisonous Tree”

At the end of the article it becomes clearer that the Indiana Supreme Court is looking for a more fascist way to control the public because they earlier gave this ruling.

This is the second major Indiana Supreme Court ruling this week involving police entry into a home.

On Tuesday, the court said police serving a warrant may enter a home without knocking if officers decide circumstances justify it. Prior to that ruling, police serving a warrant would have to obtain a judge’s permission to enter without knocking.

So, an officer now can make up a reason that he wants to enter the home, not knock, break in and the homeowner has no recourse at all except through a civil lawsuit.  Plus, the police will be able to use whatever they find in court even though the homeowners rights under the Constitution were blatantly violated.

All we can hope is that the US Supreme Court hears this case and reverses it, otherwise I see very bad times ahead for the Hoosier state.

It’s nice to see that Megan McCain has finally found something she is good at, taking her clothes of in front of a camera.  I mean, she’s not the new voice of the young Republicans the way she would like to think and if her interview with Rachel Maddow at the NRA convention is any hint, my cat knows more about firearms than Megan does.

So, I wish her luck in her new career and I’m glad that she will no longer be riding her daddy’s coattails.

.. because I’m the NINJABREAD MAN!!

Yes, you thought the gingerbread man was fast?  Well, the ninjabread man is not only fast, but deadly  and very, very tasty too.

I came across this thanks to Ailuromaniac who always sends me fun stuff, and this certainly counts under fun  😀

What she sent me was actually a security system for my beer that would keep it cold and safe without having to put a padlock on the fridge – the Fridge Locker personal security system.

Yep, Now my beer can stay frosty and safe from the zombie hoards, and even if they do get in, I’ll still have my ninjabread minions available to fight them off!!!

I wasn’t paid to blog about this stuff either, in fact I don’t own either of these items, I just thought they were amusing so I made this post.

And of course it isn’t legal in CA or MA.   So damn glad I moved to a free state.
