Screw Bank of America

April 21st, 2012 Posted in Jackass, Libtards, Pass the ammo

After taking BILLIONS in bailout money, and more recently shifting $53 TRILLION of it’s derivative holdings from the investment side to the retail side so that when their Euro investments go tits up (which they will) we taxpayers will be on the hook for it, BofA has done one more move which has made me finally stop being lazy and I am moving my account to a local credit union and Bank of America can burn in hell for all I care.

I’m not talking about when they were opening accounts for illegal immigrants who had no ID (things that we normal people are required to show).  Yeah, even with that I kept putting off the move.  Nope, what made me finally say to hell with them is their attitude towards the 2nd amendment.

Recently BofA told McMilian Group International that they did not want McMilian’s business anymore because of McMilian being in the firearm business.

This is from their Facebook page:

McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories.
At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possible save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer what my business.”
“That is correct” he says.
I replied “That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?”
“You have to do what you must” he said.
“So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?”
Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing let for him to say.

I think it is import for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don’t agree with a business’ political position I can not in good conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products.

I called BofA and asked them about this story and the woman I spoke with first denied all knowledge of it.  When I asked her how it is that a major public relations situation like this can happen and she has not been told anything my her superiors about BofA’s response she then stated she had heard of it but had no comment.

I then asked if there was someone I could speak with who could answer my questions since I was considering opening a business account in the near future for my firearms related business.  No, there wasn’t and she had nothing further to say.

So, since Bank of Anti-America doesn’t want my money I will be glad to go with a bank that not only wants my money, but also doesn’t try and shift it’s dumbshit money losing schemes from their own wallet to mine.

One of the most disappointing moments in the “Rescue of our Economy” was the bailout of BOA. I was SO looking forward to their demise. I would have traded my 100% disdain for the bailout for a slight 1% approval if they had just singled out that one bank for allowing to tumble like the defeat of Sauron in the Jackson film.

Why did you stick so long?…Thinking of buying a Chevy?

Nope, more because of being too busy to look around and always having that “I need to wait till this clears first…”

Well, now I am at a point that I can move enough cash to make a new account and leave enough to close the old one.

Yeah! It figures. I had just paid for 200 checks when my bank was absorbed by the BOA. I was so squeaky tight that I wanted to use all the checks before opening another account. If they had not allowed the old logo checks to be valid, and required checks that had the BOA logo, I would have bitten the bullet faster.

Whilst, you shop around look into Credit Unions. That is my next move. For now my bank is small enough to be more regional but my trust level is shrinking.

Yep, looking at USAA since I am qualified to be a member.
