Frustration and Choices
So I’m busy-busy setting up the Rimfire website and have run into a fork in the road that I was not expecting (well, in a way I was, but not in the way I thought… I guess).
I have two ways to go on this site, I can set it up in WordPress and then use a plugin to make a shopping cart but the problem is that I am not a WordPress person – well, except for this site, so making modifications, theme adjustments and the tweaks to have it look just the way I want is going to be a lot of work (reading, learning, trial and error) that in all reality, I would just as soon dodge.
Other option is that I do the site in HTML, which is much more up my alley, and then put a WordPress folder in for the blog. This would mean that any blog post I do would then have to be manually updated on the homepage with the new post information and create more work that way – which I would also like to avoid.
I’m not lazy, I just would really like to spend my time making grips instead of website updates.
Any thoughts or suggestions on the subject would be appreciated.

Learn WordPress. It’s just CSS, really. Find a theme that is close and modify the crap out of it. Yes, it is more work on the front end, but it will be worth it.
