LAHORE: United States President Barack Obama’s decision to close the Guantanamo Bay Detention Centre is a mere whitewash, Muhammad Saad, a former inmate, said on Sunday.

Saad said Obama has to apologise to the prisoners, to their families and their societies. “They have to apologise to the Muslim world and a whole generation. That’s the least he could do. He should pledge these atrocities will never be repeated and compensate those who suffered any kind of torture.”

Pakistani security officials say ex-inmates are subject to strict police vigilance and most of the more than 60 Pakistanis who have been released are monitored by law enforcement agencies. “They (the Americans) have destroyed so many lives. They have turned intelligent, healthy human beings into vegetables,” Saad said. afp

Yea, read it again so that the disbelief will be replaced by the fact that this is real.

IF Mr. Obama does this then he WILL be a disgrace to this country and all the men and women who have fought and died to protect it.

I have an idea, Mr Saad can apologize first for being a terrorist, for throwing feces and urine at his guards while he was detained and for being an all around waste of a human life.  As far as reparations go – How bout we just send you off to those 72 virgins.  Asshole.

I doubt the ‘horror’ he suffered being at Gitmo was anything like what Daniel Pearl suffered so as far as I’m concerned this piece of crap can eat shit and die.

I love reading good news for a change

I love it when you look at the news and that one bit of unexpected good news jumps out at you and gives you a warm fuzzy feeling.  Like this story for example

ANTI-TERROR bosses last night hailed their latest ally in the war on terror — the BLACK DEATH.

At least 40 al-Qaeda fanatics died horribly after being struck down with the disease that devastated Europe in the Middle Ages.

The al-Qaeda epidemic began in the cave hideouts of AQLIM in Tizi Ouzou province, 150km east of the capital Algiers. The group, led by wanted terror boss Abdelmalek Droudkal, was forced to turn its shelters in the Yakouren forest into mass graves and flee.
